FAQ - MONITOR SET UP FOR COLOR

How can I ensure my print will look identical to what I see on my monitor?

At Nevada Art Printers, we have a wide selection of substartes based on the intended use of each print. A list of papers and canvases can be found in our Products page.

The quality of your monitor will have a profound impact on the accurcy and quality of files if you are preparing them yourself for print.

 

The chart above is a calibrated test image that is useful for determining your monitors health and color accuracy. It is available from Nevada Art Printers as a printed reference target upon request.

 

Take note of the boxes with arrows pointing toward them. On a well calibrated high quality monitor you should barely be able to make out the box from the surrounding area. A good place to start is to adjust your monitors contrast to 100% and adjust the brightness down until you get as close a match on the boxes as possible.
